Hawa Mahal

This magnificent piece of architecture is famously known as the ‘Palace of Winds’ or ‘Palace of the Breeze’. It is a five storied pyramid shaped fa├žade made up of red and pink sandstone. This magnificent piece of architecture was built by Maharaja Sawai Singh in 1799. The 953 small windows popularly known as ‘Jharokhas’ is the foremost attraction of this historical monument. These ‘Jharokhas’ decorated with tiny lattice work were made for the women of royal families to see street processions without themselves being seen. The interwoven charm of exquisite interiors, exterior decoration, small screened balconies and arched roofs steals the heart of visitors who come here from several parts of the globe. Amber Fort

This is another popular attraction of this place which is counted among the wonders of Rajasthan. Situated on the bank of Maotha Lake it is a beautiful fort made up of white marble and red sandstone.

Raja Man Singh I started the construction of this fort in 1592 AD. Later on successive rulers added several structures to this fort which made it a grand structure. The architectural features of ornate halls, palaces, mosaic work, pavilions, beautiful gardens, minute mirror work and above all the elegant design enthral tourists who come here from several parts of the globe. Some of the renowned attractions of this fort is Suhaag Mandir, Diwan-e-Aam, Diwan-e-Khas, Ganesh Pol, Jai Mandir and many more.

Jantar Mantar

This astronomical observatory is among the famous tourist attractions of this place which is visited by large number of tourists throughout the year. It is one of the five astronomical observatories of India which was constructed by Maharajah Jai Singh II. This is biggest of all the five observatories made up of white marble and red sandstone. During the ancient time this observatory was used for measuring time, predicting weather, foretelling eclipses and tracking stars in their orbit.
